Demarcus Woods A Dreamer's Heart Scholarship Award

Our
Story

The MarcSpeaks: A Dreamer’s Heart Foundation is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation was started after the sudden loss of our son in 2019, Demarcus Woods. He was an alumnus of the Clayton State University College Film program. He aspired to create movies and other film content. His passion and zeal for life is missed but his legacy continues by inspiring the dreamers of future generations to pursue and achieve their dreams.

In 2021 we awarded our first scholarships. We have now expanded to include graduating high school students and have a scholarship designed to support their post-secondary education pursuits in traditional and non-traditional colleges, continuing education or certificate programs.  Listen to the interview of recipients of this prestigious award.
